Project 4Ever Striving recognizes that barriers must be overcome to market oneself. Receiving proper education, training, and support helps provide the skills necessary to obtain gainful employment. First we assess each participant and prepare them for the training we provide. Using the TABE testing system we can identify where each participant is on the education scale and form a program that best suits them. Class work is based on the topics covered in the GED test: reading, writing, social studies, and math. There is a combination of group and individual activities. Adults have a number of obstacles that may make it hard for them to attend a class every week. To work around that, Project 4 Ever Striving classes run on evening and Saturdays. Unlike most GED programs in Philadelphia, no one is discharged from the class if they are absent several times.
